Update

Guan Eng: What's the fuss? WTF? Yeah, what's the fuss.

PETALING JAYA: Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng yesterday said he was surprised by the negative responses to his appointment of Datuk Lee Kah Choon as director of Penang Development Corporation and investPenang.
"I don't understand why it received so much coverage and why so much pressure was created," he said.

"If we want to extend (a welcoming hand), why should it be criticised?"
Yeah, why indeed. Bitter losers, that is why.

Lee’s action ‘against BN spirit’

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Lee Kah Choon's decision to accept the posts of director of Penang Development Corporation and chairman of the executive committee of Invest-Penang is against the Barisan Nasional spirit, said Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi yesterday. What spirit are you mumbling about dude? He's working for a state corporation, for the benefit of the people and the state. You should've accepted that fact with high spirits. The fact that the 'opposition' offered and elected one of your geeks to a high position, heavy responsibility job, at the same time having the opportunity to place a mechanism of check and balance in the otherwise 'opposition' domain. The fact that the 'opposition' is recognising talented people who can do the job regardless of their political affiliations. Are your Party willing to do that? Say electing the CEO position of Johor Corporation to say a PAS or PKR professional who can do a better job than your goons? Duh...

The Prime Minister, who is also Barisan chairman, said Lee should not have accepted the two posts offered by the Penang state government before conferring with the Gerakan leadership.

He said the former Gerakan deputy secretary-general should have first sought the views and decision of the party leadership on the offer. That might be his mistake, not discussing it with his Party first but accepting the job is definitely not.

Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam accused Lee of being an opportunist and urged Gerakan to take disciplinary action against him. Are you not an opportunist dude? The last we checked, you're everywhere groping limelights.

“Party members should continue supporting the party eventhough it is going through a rough patch. We should be rebuilding and strengthening the party, not adding more problems. Is he deserting the Party? Is he in any way destroying the Party by accepting? He is in fact helping the Party by promoting the willingness to work for the people instead of being myopic.

“We must accept the fact that we cannot enjoy good times every time and expect to go through rough times,” he said in Malacca. The good times will be the norm if y'all stop behaving like idiots and start working for the People and the Nation dude. Have a life...

Re your comment at Nuraima:

cc: Shalom. I happen to be Catholic Christian and bumped into your blog. I have been wondering i.e. everything comes from God (the God of Abraham shared by Christians and Muslims)including words such as Allah. I just cannot imagine God not allowing His word to be used by anyone of His creation. Does He say that the word Allah is exclusive to Islam? We all should be trembling with fear about being answerable to Him when we see Him face to face one day for being overbearing (word used by Nik Aziz referring to BN). I just received an sms from a friend which says, "Christianity in use of word Allah 700 yrs bfr Muslim came into the world. So highly improbable for us superimpose word from our Muslim brothers." God bless us all.

Me sentiments exactly mate. Doesn't really matter who had been using the word first. Methinks, a name will always just be another name. The reverence and respect to the Owner of the name, and striving for the Good is what all religions should strive for. So, as you put it, we wouldn't be trembling with fear when facing Him face to face one day. And not some legal debate on the name exclusivity, which to me is how politicians are trying to play God.
